MonkeyLearn launches today at TechCrunch Disrupt SF 2014 (sep 8)

Good news, everyone!

Private alpha is over and today we are officially launching MonkeyLearn open beta at TechCrunch Disrupt San Francisco. Starting today, it's no longer needed to ask for an invite to use MonkeyLearn, now everyone can sign up, create a MonkeyLearn account and start integrating text mining technology.

MonkeyLearn was founded on the belief that developers, startups, and SMEs in every industry deserve access to customizable and affordable machine learning technologies for text mining.

Created by the founders of machine learning company Tryolabs, with the support of Microsoft Latin America’s Director of Technology Eduardo Mangarelli and ANII, MonkeyLearn goal is to enable developers with any level of experience to easily get data from text using machine learning, and integrate the technology into their own platforms, applications and websites within minutes.

How do you get started with MonkeyLearn?

1. Create your free account here

2. Activate your account: you will receive an email to active your MonkeyLearn account.

3. Walk through the Documentation

They will introduce how to use MonkeyLearn and basic concepts, in particular, take a look at the following sections:

4. The best way to get started with MonkeyLearn is to try a public classifier. If you are feeling courageous, you can create a custom classifier and train an algorithm with your own data.

5. Integrate with your project with any programming language like Python, Ruby, JavaScript, PHP, Java or C#.

MonkeyLearn Roadmap

With MonkeyLearn you can use and integrate classification modules, which are used to classify information, that is, assign a category to a text.

You can also use and integrate extraction modules, which are used to extract data from text, that is, the result you are looking for exists within the text. The main difference with classification modules is that in classification the result may be a prediction of a label, tag or category, that usually is not present within the text and has to be predicted or induced from the text contents.

We are working hard to release the clustering and regression modules as soon as possible.
